I've been enjoying this excellent show for a long time and I have to say that this flat and lifeless matrix just does nothing for it at all. It just doesn't hold up in comparison to the sparkling soundboard, which has so much more presence:

(There's also a Miller 'upgrade' available but, flying in the face of convention, I prefer the earlier version.)

Thank you for sharing exactly what I was thinking. A good matrix should enhance overall quality. The sick bits series did exactly that as do many of hseamons' matrixes. For example his recent matrix for 9-21-82 (which I requested) took a decent SBD, where Jerry was low in the mix, and a decent aud and produced a great sounding combo of the two. Charlie Miller's SBD sounds so good that I dont see the reason to get 10-29-77 again. I suppose if you're Grendelschoice you cant have enough copies, but for me I'm going to pass.

By the way, no offense meant to hansokolow. He does a great job and no one is forcing me to d/l......

Well, I for one am glad to see you are navigating the needs of the professional life and the forum life, and checking in now and again...besides, I think you have to chaperone for the prom date, right? And, yes, though I am writing it here where it will be relatively obscure, I daresay that a few of the exalted CMs, though often improvements in many respects, still have me reaching for the original now and again for any number of reasons. I hope this won't get me banned or some such, but there you have it...
